Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, has named the Vatican, Geneva, Istanbul, and Saudi Arabia as possible venues for a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, APA reports citing Corriere della Sera.
Yermak said Budapest is not considered a preferred location.
“Budapest, of course, recalls the unfulfilled 1994 agreement, so this venue is not given priority,” he noted, adding that Moscow has also not been discussed as a possible site.
According to Yermak, negotiations are expected to take place first between Zelensky and Putin, to be followed immediately by a trilateral summit with Trump’s participation.
