Ukraine has accused Russia of attempting to block its access to the sea as Russia prepares for naval exercises next week, APA reports citing BBC.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said the Sea of Azov is completely blocked and the Black Sea almost completely cut off.
Some 100,000 Russian troops are already stationed near Ukraine's land borders.
It comes as Russia and Belarus started 10 days of joint military drills close to the Belarus-Ukraine border.
Belarus is a close ally of Russia and has a long border with Ukraine.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Thursday that Europe faces its biggest security crisis in decades amid the tensions.
