Turkish President to visit Iraq soon, says MFA

"Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs discusses President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's expected visit to Iraq with the Iraqi side," Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Yildiz who is on a visit to Baghdad told journalists, APA reports.

"We will hold meetings at Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs with our counterparts, and will discuss bilateral relations. We will make preparations for the meeting of Foreign Ministers soon, as well as our President's visit to Iraq," he stressed.

Diplomat has noted that Erdogan may visit Iraq until the end of April.

Turkish leader has previously announced that border security issue with Iraq will be resolved this summer.
