The only land customs checkpoint between Georgia and Russia has been closed due to heavy snow, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports citing Revenue Service of the Georgian Ministry of Finance.
It was reported that due to the emergency situation in the Daryal Valley due to the complex meteorological situation, all types of customs control procedures have been suspended at the Kazbegi customs checkpoint. Currently, it is not possible to carry out import and export of goods through the checkpoint, as well as customs control procedures for individuals crossing the state border. It was noted that the checkpoint will resume its activities after the weather conditions improve.
