Brussels is working on a revolutionary mechanism that would allow Ukraine to obtain partial membership status in the European Union (EU) before becoming a full member, APA reports, citing Politico.
According to the publication, this plan would ensure that Ukraine joins the EU before implementing all the necessary reforms.
It is reported that Ukraine's accession to the EU in 2027 will serve to strengthen the country's position in Europe and break it away from Moscow's influence.
It is noted that Ukraine demands that the agreement on its membership in the EU in 2027 be included in the peace treaty to be concluded with Russia. EU officials, however, emphasize the necessity of Kyiv's appeal.
Note that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the importance of approving the date of membership in 2027.
