Nearly 50 police officers were injured in the protests held in Tbilisi, and 20 of them underwent surgery, Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze said during a briefing, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.
He added that the protesters threw Molotov cocktails, and stones, and used pyrotechnic devices against the police.
"Such facts are repeated when those who try to set fire to the police and those who commit violence are spared, such people have no moral right to talk about violence. Violence breeds violence, and therefore, everyone must take responsibility for their actions in this matter," Kobakhidze said.
