The film "Air" by Alexei German Jr. has been awarded the Russian national film award "Golden Eagle" in the main nomination "Best Film," APA reports citing TASS.
The award ceremony for the winners is taking place on Friday at the Mosfilm studio.
"Thank you very much! You have presented us with such a huge number of awards today that it is simply hard to believe. <…> Making a film where the main characters are women at war is, on the one hand, easy, but on the other hand, difficult, because so much is mixed together: patriotism, fear of death, desire for love <…>. You know, we have seen many times how people cried at the screening of our film, so everything is right," said Konstantin Ernst, General Producer of Vozdukh and General Director of Channel One, at the awards ceremony.
