Hungarian Embassy in France has received a bomb threat via email, Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Relations of Hungary Zoltan Kovacs stated on X, APA reports.
According to Kovacs, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó reported that French authorities, supported by two bomb-sniffing dogs, are currently searching Hungary’s Paris embassy following a life-threatening email sent to the diplomatic staff.
"The email included a photo of homemade explosives, though these have not yet been found.
FM Szijjártó added that initial information points to the email originating from an address linked to a neighboring country. Hungarian security services are actively investigating to ensure the safety of diplomats during this critical period," he added.
