Four people have been detained in France on suspicion of plotting an assassination attempt against a representative of the Russian opposition, “Le Parisien” wrote, citing the French National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office, APA reports.
According to the report, the case concerns Vladimir Osechkin, the founder of the “Gulagu.net” project, who currently resides in France and has been labeled a foreign agent by Russia. Osechkin himself has confirmed the information.
The detainees are French and Russian citizens aged between 26 and 38, three of whom are from Daghestan. They have been charged with “terrorism-related conspiracy with the aim of committing one or more crimes against a person.”
The investigation is being conducted by the French National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office.
