The immunity of former Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland has been lifted, APA reports, citing the website of the Council of Europe.
The Council's Committee of Ministers has lifted Jagland's immunity based on the requests of the Norwegian government.
Note that the former Secretary General is accused of corruption and connections with Jeffrey Epstein.
He was Secretary General of the Council of Europe in 2009-1019 and Prime Minister of Norway in 1996-1997.
