Turkey will check commercial ships that will operate under the "Grain Transportation Agreement" upon entering and exiting the Bosphorus of Istanbul, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said this in an interview with CNN Turk, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
He noted that this will be done both through the coordination center to be established in Istanbul and based on Turkey's sovereign rights.
According to Akar, this agreement will help end the global food crisis.
The minister also mentioned the country's efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war.
Grain will be transported from three ports of Ukraine.
