“Three people have been arrested on charges of attacking police officers and damaging property by setting fire to them during protests,” the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced, APA reports citing Georgian Public Broadcaster.
According to the Ministry, 224 people have been arrested under the Code of Administrative Offenses.
“We would like to inform the public on the events that took place on December 1-2, 2024 on Rustaveli Avenue, in the vicinity of the Parliament.
As a result of illegal and violent actions carried out by the participants of the rally, 21 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were injured last night. Some of the injured have severe head, face and body injuries.
In total, 113 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received health damage during the recent protests, 4 of them are still in medical facilities.
