Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan: “Internet-campaign for apologizing to Armenians has no advantages for anyone”

Ankara–APA. Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan expressed opinion about the Internet-campaign launched by a group of persons for apologizing to Armenians for a so-called “genocide”. The Foreign Minister said such campaign damaged on Turkey, APA reports. “While the process of normalization of relations with Armenian is going, such campaign has no advantages for anyone. Such activities damage on the process”. Ali Babacan said there was nothing to shame Turkey before the history and mankind for 1915 events. “We proposed to establish commission of history in 2005 to prevent bush-league talks about such serious issue and to prevent disputes in the different parliaments over this issue and to let historians to write the history”. Ali Babacan said it was very sensible situation, which damaged on the dialogues between Turkey and Armenia, at the same time between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
