Chechen organized crime coordinator Ali Atsayev arrested in Prague

Prague–APA. Eastern European coordinator of the Chechen organized criminal group Ali Atsayev was arrested in Prague. He was living in Prague with the false passport issued for Georgian citizen Revaz Lavidze, APA reports quoting Interfax. Russian law-enforcement bodies say Atsayev led the organized criminal group in Moscow and nearby regions in 1990s. The group committed contract murders, robbery and plunder. Murder of lawyer Irina Maximova in 2002 is assumed to be committed by Atsayev’s order. The Czech police is investigating the Atsayev’s crime in the country. The Russian Interior Ministry intends to demand Atsayev’s extradition.
