Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic flown to Hague tribunal

His transfer comes hours after clashes at a rally attended by at least 10,000 supporters to protest about his arrest.Dusan Ignjatovic , Serbian government official in charge of cooperation with the Hague tribunal said that appeal has not been sent to proper bodies in time .
“There will not be any Appeals Court, because of not delivering proper documents in time,”
Karadzic has been transferred to the war –crimes tribunal in The Hague under decree of Serbian Justice Minister.
Dusan Ignjatovic , Serbian government official in charge of cooperation with the Hague tribunal noted that trial can be concluded in 2010. Belgrade handed over 42 accused men and there are only two wanted men. They are Mr Karadzic’s wartime military commander General Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic, “president” of unrecognized “Serbian Republic” in the territory of Croatia.
International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) confirmed the information. He was taken to tribunal by helicopter from Rotterdam.
Karadzic is charged with organizing the war crimes against Bosnian Muslims in 1992-1995, particularly the 1995 massacre of up to 8,000 Muslims in Srebrenica. He was officially charged on July 25, 1995 and has been wanted since that time.
