They were arrested under so-called “Ergenekon†operation. They were detained in Ankara Police Department and would be taken to Istanbul. Search operation has been carried out in their houses. They are known for their opposition positions against current Turkish Government. Ataturkist Thought Association was one of the main organizers of protest-actions.
