French Foreign Minister: Israeli strike on Iran could backfire

Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius warned on Monday that an Iran’s nuclear facilities would backfire, APA reports.
“I think if there were an Israeli attack, unfortunately it could come back to haunt Israel by allowing Iran to cast itself as a victimâ€, Fabius made the remarks in an interview with France’s BFM TV. “We are saying we should increase sanctions, and at the same time continue negotiating with Iran to make it give inâ€.
Criticizing the non-joining of China, Russian Federation and India the sanctions against Iran, Fabius characterized this issue as a very important problem.
