11 people suspected of spying for Iran be arrested in Turkey

According to the Turkish press, the suspects are accused of revolt attempt in Turkeyâ€™s eastern and south-eastern provinces and informing SAVAK about the Syrian opposition forces. Taking photos of the Igdir Gendarmerie Commandâ€™s building from microbus raised doubts of police. The police stopped microbus and detained two Iranian suspects â€“ Shahram Zargam Kohen and Mahammad Rza Esmailpur Ali Maliki.

It was determined that the detained people took the photos of military bases and police departments which are strategically important.

Continuing the investigation Turkish intelligence officers conducted search operations at 10 addresses yesterday. 6 people in Igdir, one person in Agridag, one in Van and one in Khocaeli Gabzada were detained as the result of operational measures. A Kalashnikov gun, shotgun, notes related to the writings with Iran and recordings of terroristsâ€™ phone talks were found in the houses and workplaces of the suspects during the searches.

9 people informed SAVAK about the government, Syrian refugee camps and also collected information about the positions of the military forces, government organizations.
