APA reports quoting RIA Novosti that Breivik went on a killing spree last July 22, setting off a bomb that killed eight people in the government district of Oslo and then shooting dead 69 people at a youth camp on the nearby island of Utoya.
He will serve his sentence in special conditions at the Ila high security prison where he has been held since his arrest. His detention may be extended beyond the end of his sentence if the authorities consider he is still a danger to society.
