Two new departments established under Azerigaz

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Two new departments have been established under Azerigaz PU.

SOCAR told APA-Economics that as continuation of optimization of existing costs, improvement of management mechanism and increase of effectiveness of structural units’ activity, the gas exploitation spheres like Absheron, Binagadi, Khatai, Khazar, Garadagh, Narimanov, Nasimi, Nizami, Sabunchu, Sabail, Surakhani and Yasamal, which have not status of legal entity, have been restructured since Nov. 10 and Baku Regional Gas Exploitation Department and Baku Regional Gas Sale Department, which have not the status of legal entity, have been established on their basis.

For this purpose, the workers have been formally received warning letters in accordance with the Code of Labour. Data about workers of abolished Absheron and Gas Exploitation Departments in Baku, at the same time, staff schedule of newly-established departments have been sent to SOCAR Human Resources Department. Professionalism of those workers will be examined in the Human Resources Department and they will be provided with jobs.

As a result examination, the workers who cannot work at the newly-established departments will be appointed to fill the vacancies in the PU’s Office of Management and organizations. Those who are not provided with jobs and don’t agree with the new offer will be paid lump-sum benefit amounting to the fivefold salary. The benefit is exempted from tax. The PU will appeal to SOCARfor for the workers who will not receive lump-sum benefit to join the Program on “Employment of dismissed workers on SOCAR and ensuring social sustainability”. Admission of applications has started since Nov. 10 and the workers may appeal to join the program within a month. Dismissal will concern workers of office of management.

Complaints of citizens who are dissatisfied with examination and process of appointment to fill the vacancies will be operatively researched by Azerigaz and Human Resources Department and publicized.
