SOCAR Turkey Energy first Vice-President appointed as advisor to SOCAR President

SOCAR Turkey Energy told APA-Economics that powers of management of SOCAR’s projects in connection with the international capital markets have been conferred to Samir Karimov.

“SOCAR takes necessary steps for protection and improvement of its position in the oil and gas markets by closely following the processes. For this purpose, Samir Karimov will provide determination of strategies on capital markets of any agency having equity in SOCAR’s authorized capital or established by SOCAR and implementation of them”, SOCAR Turkey Energy said.

Moreover, he will be responsible for organization of meetings with all investors and funds interesting in SOCAR Group, conduction of negotiations and taking of necessary measures for recognition of these agencies by investors.

In accordance with the powers given by SOCAR President, Samir Karimov will also implement exchange operations of shares and securities on behalf of SOCAR Group in the international exchanges, establish relations with the regulatory bodies of the relevant countries on IPO and other activities in the capital markets.
