SOCAR Risk Management Committee has investigated the reports that deputy head of Investment Department Giymat Mehdiyev’s spouse Mehdiyeva Konul Farhad, 1974, purchased 16 two-storey villas and 12,621.71 m² plot of land in Gokcebel settlement, Bodrum, Turkey and passed a decision in accordance with standards on combating corruption and transparency.
According to Committee, no violation of any norms provided by Code of Business Ethics for its employees was found, these reports are not related to SOCAR, and several media outlets released baseless reports without obeying legal rules. The committee assessed such acts as a risk to have negative impact on SOCAR’s business prestige, implementation of local and international projects and noted that the company must take legal steps in such cases.
