SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev is at the scene and a helicopter of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was involved in the site. A rescue boat will soon be withdrawn from the site.
Moreover, the fire on the platform continues. Because of the high waves, fire vessels can not approach directly to the platform.
A strong fire took place on the platform No.10 at Azerbaijan’s offshore Guneshli field on Dec.4 at 17:40 (UTC/GMT +4 hours). The fire on the platform was caused by the windstorm, which damaged a gas line. No human losses were reported.
