Oil production reduces 0.4%, gas increases 6% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In January-November 2015, Azerbaijan produced products worth AZN 15 bln in the mining sector of industry, up 2.8% from previous year.

State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that the crude oil production made 38.3 mln tonnes, marketable gas production – 18.1 bcm. Oil production declined 0.4%, gas production rose 6.3%.

In January-November 2015, 38,316,000 tonnes of crude oil (including gas condensate) were produced in the country, down 0.5% compared to the eleven months of previous year. Consequently, the finished product made 342,800 tonnes.

Of this, 38,262,500 tonnes are marketable crude oil, down 0.4% in annual comparison.

During the reporting period, 27,093.9 mln cubic meters of gas were produced in the country, down 0.2% from 2014. Finished product stood at 788,600 cubic meters.

Of this, 18,068.1 mln cubic meters are marketable natural gas, up 6.3% by contrast to a year earlier.
