Baku. Malahat Najafov - APA. Removing sanctions against Iran will play a big role in the development of Azerbaijan's relations with Iran, said Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev.
According to him, Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia are working on establishment of the "North-South" energy corridor among three countries. He noted that the project considers creating a corridor, which involves the export of electricity from Russia to Azerbaijan and further to Iran: “A special working group was set up and energy ministers of the three countries are working on this issue. There are huge oil and gas projects including the transit of Iranian gas through the territory of Azerbaijan, as well as the use of storage facilities in Azerbaijan for Iranian gas. We have other areas of cooperation that we will develop " said the minister.
