“Georgian enterprises of state and private sector are interested in gas supply in Iran”, Kameli said. “Gas supply to Georgia is planned to start from the next year (Hijri Calendar - March 21)”, the Iranian minister added.
According to him, the contract to be signed for seven month is expected to be base for further cooperation.
Moreover, Georgia must get permission from Armenia for transportation of Iranian gas through this country. If the deal is agreed, the matter will be mid-term and long-term gas supply to Georgia.
