Moscow. Farid Akberov - APA. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for Russia's president, has commented on reports on readiness of Russia for negotiations with Bulgaria to resume construction of the South Stream pipeline, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

According to him, the South Stream project does not exist: “It has been halted and there is not a topic for negotiations”.

Bulgarian “Standard” newspaper reported that the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has received a signal from Russia to resume Construction of the South Stream gas pipeline.

“The construction may be resumed due to two reasons. These are sudden worsening of Russia-Turkey relations and stagnation in Chinese economy. The second factor prevents construction of “The Power of Siberia”. Resumption of project by delivering the natural gas to Europe through south will meet EU demands”, the newspaper says.
