Azerbaijani president participates in groundbreaking ceremony of High Density Polyethylene Plant in Sumgayit

President of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev informed the head of state about the work to be done.

Photo stands reflecting national leader Heydar Aliyev’s and President Ilham Aliyev’s oil policy, as well as the oil history of the country were installed in an administrative building.

The Azerbaijani President viewed products, which will be produced in the enterprise.

SOCAR Polymer was created in 2013. The plants of the company are being built on the site of the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park under the Order of President Ilham Aliyev.

It was noted that the annual capacity of the two units of the company will be 180,000 tons of polypropylene and 120,000 tons of high density polyethylene. These units will be commissioned in 2018.

President Ilham Aliyev laid foundation of the HÄ±gh DensÄ±ty Polyethylene Plant.

The head of state gave relevant recommendations and instructions.
