Azerbaijan reduces oil production by 1.5% and gas by 8%

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Azerbaijani mining industry reduced production by 1.2% to AZN 4.4 billion in January-March, 2016.

State Statistical Committee said in the first three months of 2016, the crude oil production (including gas condensate) made 10 520 200 tonnes, down 1.5% in comparison with the same period of previous year. Consequently, as of April 1, finished products amounted to 315 000 tonnes. Marketable oil stood at 10 506 200 tonnes, that is 1.5% down in comparison with the same period of previous year.

In January –March 2016, 7 556,800 cm natural gas was produced in the country, up 2.0% in comparison with the same period of previous year. Consequently, as of April 1, finished products amounted to 954 600 cm. Marketable gas stood at 4 838 900 cm, that is 7.9% down in comparison with the same period of previous year.
