Azerbaijan reduces gasoline and diesel production

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. Azerbaijan produced AZN 2,429.9 mln-oil products in 2015, down 4.9% from previous year.

According to State Statistical Committee, gasoline production made 1,224,600 tonnes, down 1.1% in annual comparison. Finished products made 59,100 tonnes.

Diesel production fell 4.9% to 2,803,700 tonnes (finished product – 69,300 tonnes), kerosene production fell 2.9% to 688,600 tonnes (finished product – 45,500 tonnes), oil bitumen production dropped 29% to 171,800 tonnes (finished product – 3,200 tonnes), and lubricating oil production declined 52.5% to 25,300 tonnes (finished product – 14,300).

205,900 tonnes of petrol for petro-chemical industry were produced during the same period, down 7.3% by contrast to a year earlier. Finished product made 1,600 tonnes.

Moreover, Azerbaijan produced 328,100 tonnes of furnace oil (58.7%). As of January 1, 2016, the finished product stood at 4,500 tonnes.
