Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. In January-March 2016 the production and services in the sector of production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam made AZN 507.1 mln, down 5.2% by contrast to a year earlier.
Output in the water supply, waste treatment and processing sector dropped 4.5% to AZN 53.7 mln.
In the first quarter of 2016 Azerbaijan produced 5,976.2 mln kWh of energy, down 6.8% in comparison with 2015.
Of this, 5,328.4 kWh makes heating power which is 9.4% lower than previous year.
376.7 kWh is water power production, 60.4% over against 2015.
Wind power stations produced 3.4 kWh of energy, up 54.5% from previous year. Solar power production increased 3.7 times to 1.1 kWh.
