Azerbaijan gets 2.1% decline in oil production, 4% growth in gas production

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. In January-September 2015, the production in mining sector of Azerbaijan’s industry amounted to AZN 12.3 bln, up 1.4% from previous year.

According to State Statistical Committee, the crude oil production made 31.4 mln tonnes, marketable gas 14.4 bcm. Oil production fell 2.1%, gas production rose 4.0%.

In the reporting period, 31,422,300 tonnes of crude oil (including gas condensate) were produced in the country, down 2.3% in annual comparison. Consequently, the finished product made 326,100 tonnes.

Of this, 31,378,900 tonnes were marketable oil, down 2.1% from 2014.

Moreover, 21,675.6 mln cm of natural gas were produced in the reporting period, down 4.4% compared to a year ago. Finished product made 615,200 cm.

Of this, 14,424.9 mln cm is marketable gas, which is 4.0% more than 2014.
