Production of chemical industry products in Azerbaijan increased by more than 8% -TABLE

In January–October of this year, products worth 1,920.8 million manats were produced in the fields of chemical industry, pharmaceutical products, and rubber and plastic goods manufacturing in Azerbaijan, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.

Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the production of pharmaceutical products increased 2 times, the production of rubber and plastic goods increased by 12.6 percent, and the production of chemical industry products increased by 8.4 percent.

Among chemical industry products, the production of polyethylene increased by 4 percent, the production of ethylene by 3.2 percent, the production of urea by 0.4 percent; among rubber and plastic goods, the production of plastic bags and sacks (excluding polyethylene products) increased by 86.8 percent, the production of plastic rods, sticks, and profiles increased by 28.5 percent, and the production of plastic bottles, flasks, and similar items increased by 20.5 percent.
