US President Donald Trump also touched upon the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia during his address at the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, APA reports.
Trump stated that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had spoken positively about his efforts.
"The President of Azerbaijan told me that President Trump had worked miracles in six months, and no one even thought this would happen," the US President noted.
Trump stated that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had also emphasized the importance of his personal involvement in the process.
"The Prime Minister of Armenia said that this breakthrough would not have been possible if President Trump had not personally gotten involved," Trump said.
