The Peruvian government has decided to sever diplomatic relations with Iran.
APA reports, citing Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that the decision was officially announced in a statement.
“The Government of the Republic of Peru has decided to sever diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the ministry said.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the decision was prompted in particular by the situation in the Middle East and Iran’s actions in the Strait of Hormuz.
