Oil prices continued to rise on global markets, APA-Economics reports.
The price of November futures for Brent crude increased by $0.48, or 0.50%, reaching $96 per barrel.
The price of October futures for WTI crude rose by $0.73, or 0.80%, to $92.03 per barrel.
Overall, Brent has gained approximately 7.1% this week, while WTI has risen by 9.8%, with both benchmarks heading for their largest weekly gains since mid-July.
The rise in oil prices is attributed to escalating tensions between the United States and Iran and growing concerns over supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.
