Azerbaijan will save 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas by 2030, said the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elnur Soltanov, at the public discussion on "Energy efficiency: results and expectations" held at the Milli Majlis's (Azerbaijani Parliament) Committee on Natural Resources, Energy, and Ecology, APA reports.
The Deputy Minister mentioned that energy efficiency is considered one of the most important energy sources: "By 2030, we will save approximately 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas. We will achieve this by modernizing pipelines. This is good news for the population, as it means cheaper energy."
Elnur Soltanov also noted that the country is not refraining from the export of natural gas: "Because natural gas, as a decarbonizing energy source, is on the agenda. We are working to help many countries in the European Union, such as Türkiye, achieve their decarbonization goals through gas exports."
