Azerbaijan’s energy minister meets with newly appointed ambassadors of Sri Lanka, Angola and Nigeria

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev has met with the newly appointed ambassadors of Sri Lanka, Angola and Nigeria to Azerbaijan.
The ministry said issues related to the prospects of cooperation between two countries in the energy sector were discussed with Sri Lanka’s Mohamed Zuhair.
The diplomat briefed about his country’s energy system, and noted that Azerbaijan’s participation in the exploration and exploitation of oil deposits in Sri Lanka might give impetus to the development of relations.
He said that Sri Lanka is very interested in building relations with Azerbaijan in the oil sector because of the country’s needs for petroleum and petroleum products.
A number of issues of mutual concern were discussed at a meeting with Angola’s Samuel Tito Armando.
The Angolan diplomat said his country is interested in studying the experience of Azerbaijan in the oil strategy.
