Bank Respublika awarded EBRDâ€™s most active partner in financing trade in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. At the end of 2008, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) awarded Bank Respublika â€œThe most active bank in financing trade in Azerbaijanâ€
As a participant in the EBRD programme since 2003, Bank Respublika has achieved significant results over the years. Bank Respublikaâ€™s operations in trade financing programmes increased by 40% to $37.7 million in 2008 alone.
As at January 1, Bank Respublikaâ€™s assets stood at AZN 387.875 million, loan portfolio at AZN 260.367 million, deposit portfolio at AZN 135.816 million, total capital at AZN 43.299 million and authorized capital at AZN 22.6 million.
Bank Respublika has been in operation since 1992. DEG Investment Corporation and Sparkassen International Development Trust hold a 25%+1 joint stake.
The bank has 21 branches, 40 ATMs and 290 POS terminals.
