Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. International foundation on cooperation in the Black and Caspian seas will be likely established in Romania, said Constantin Girbea, executive director of Black Sea University Foundation (Romania), APA-Economics reports.
Girbea said that during his visit to Azerbaijan he had met with the persons, who would be the founders of the foundation, and reached an agreement with them.
“We will have similar meetings in other countries of the region and try to get their consent. We have partners in Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine and other countries now,†he said.
Girbea noted that the foundation would be a nongovernmental organization.
“But we will also cooperate with the government agencies. Now we are closely cooperating with State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR). The foundation will not be able to develop without the support of government agencies,†he said.
The main aim of the foundation is to help energy supply of Europe through Azerbaijan-Georgia-Romania transit corridor.
