The monitoring of the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Ministry of Economy and Industry has revealed cases of use of exchange rate of manat to artificially high prices for bread products in Barda and Mingachevir. For example, the store manager “BÉ™rdÉ™ ÇörÉ™k” Ltd. Ilgar Hasanov and chairman of “Kür-ÇörÉ™k” (Mingachevir) Rovshan Hajiyev, abused their official powers, allowed reducing the weight of bread produced from flour of the 1st and 2nd grades. caused considerable damage to the interests of consumers. Appropriate materials were sent to the General Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General, on the basis of these collected materials criminal case has been launched under Art. 308.1 (abuse of power) and 200.1 (consumer fraud or the production and sale of substandard products). Hasanov and Hajiyev were detained as suspects.
