Baku – APA. “Today, Azerbaijan plays a role in the organization of international events. Azerbaijan has become not only the regional center, but also a center on a global scale,” said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the opening of the Heydar Aliyev Center in Agdash, APA reports.
The Head of State said that international events are held almost every week: “Hundreds, thousands of high-ranking guests arrive in Azerbaijan. I know that every guest return to his/her homeland with a great impression. Development, construction and renovation in our country are rare in today's world.”
President Aliyev said that all of these were created by the people of Azerbaijan: “We are committed to the path laid down by the great leader. We gained all of these achievements through the work and talent of the Azerbaijani people. We are strengthening these achievements year by year. The economic reforms have increased our strength. But for these reforms, we would have depended on loans from foreign financial institutions.”
The Head of State noted that today Azerbaijan provides loans to some countries: “Azerbaijan itself invests abroad. Ongoing economic and financial crisis in the world has significantly increased the importance of countries such as Azerbaijan. Because our economic policy is based on national interests, it is a deliberate policy. Reforms are being carried out and works are being done to improve the welfare of the people. In other words, today Azerbaijan is increasing its economic power. It is no coincidence that Azerbaijan is recognized as the fastest growing country in the world over the last decade. Economic development has positive impact on every sphere.”
