Azerbaijan's Constitutional Court approves parliamentary election results - UPDATED

Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev read out the decision of the Court's Plenum.

On November 18, the Central Election Commission (CEC) passed a decision to confirm the protocol on the overall results of the election for the 5th convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and submit the election results to the Constitutional Court for approval.

Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu - APA. The next meeting of the Plenum of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan kicked off on Tuesday.

Under the Article #86 of the Constitution, the issue of verification and approval of the results of the Nov.1 election for the 5th convocation of the Azerbaijani parliament is being considered at the meeting.

Opening the meeting, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev declared the court staff and secretary. The judge-reporter informed about the date, holding and results of the parliamentary election.
