Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev has been dismissed from the post of Deputy Chairman of the State Language Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The relevant Order was signed on November 12.
It should be noted that Ramiz Mehdiyev is currently charged with Articles 278.1 (acts aimed at seizing state power), 274 (treason) and 193-1.3.2 (legalization of property obtained by crime) of the Criminal Code.
The Sabail District Court of Baku city adopted a decision on the criminal case against Mehdiyev Ramiz Anvar oglu on October 14 this year. According to the decision, the court granted the petition filed against Ramiz Mehdiyev, who was brought to criminal responsibility for especially serious criminal acts, and chose a house arrest measure for a period of 4 months.
Ramiz Anvar oglu Mehdiyev was also relieved of his membership in the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
