Baku Declaration adopted in international conference â€œExpanding the Role of Women in Cross-Cultural Dialogueâ€

The Declaration calls on the world community to dialogue, tolerance and to live in peace and quiet.
â€œActive participation of women in cross-cultural dialogue should be ensured. Women should take an active part in all spheres, as well as in solving conflicts, peace process and making decisions,â€ the declaration says. According to the document, Baku Forum will be held within the framework of the event in 2010. The First Ladies participating in the conference made a statement.
The international conference was held on the initiative of MP Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation on June 10. First Ladies of several countries, women working in high positions, as well as Polish Presidentâ€™s spouse Maria Kaczynski, Turkish Prime Ministerâ€™s spouse Amina Erdogan, First Lady of Angola Ana Paula Dos Santos, Svetlana Orlova, Deputy Chairperson of the Russian Federation Council attend the event.
