Arif Hajili: â€œI was surprised at proposal of Rauf Arifoglu, who played a great role in deterioration of our relations with Azerbaijan People Front Partyâ€

Commenting on proposal of Editor-in-Chief of â€œYeni Musavatâ€ newspaper Rauf Arifoglu on union of three parties Hajili stated that Musavat Party had not any problem for it.
â€œI was surprised at proposal of Rauf Arifoglu. The person, who deteriorated our relations with APFP, has contributed such suggestionâ€ he said. Hajili expressed his hope for joint activity of political parties having real structures in Azerbaijan. He considered APFP as one of such parties and noted that it could be useful in the society.
Hasan Karimov, APFP Deputy Chairman stated possibility of such union.
â€œClassical People Front Party separated from APFP and leading figures of Musavat Party were in APFP. There was a separation in terms of various reasons and there is difference of opinion in our activity and position on authorities.
Therefore union of three parties is impossibleâ€, he said. To him, if union of opposition is established, we will achieve successes. He noted that Arifoglu had several aims contributing such suggestions.
â€œI do not want to announce these aims. But I donâ€™t see any progress hereâ€, he said.
CPFP Chairman Mirmahmud Miralioglu declined to take stance on it. Zalimkhan Mammadli, leader of the Classical Popular Front Party (CPFP) Supreme Congress (Ali Majlis) stated that he had contributed this suggestion firstly. To him, there is need for union of structured organizations. He noted that there was not any impediment for bringing together.
â€œSerious people engaged in great policy should not take separating factors into account. Union of structured political parties is victory. Separation of them is destructive factor of opposition. Wisdom depends on Isa Gambar, Ali Karimli, Mirmahmud Miralioglu. Leaders of Parties should pass decision on itâ€, he said.
