Lale Shovkat: â€œThose, who have decided to boycott the elections, show justness of Azadlig blockâ€

Baku. Elnur Mammadliâ€“APA. â€œOpposition parties have decided to boycott the elections after amendments and annexes made to the Electoral Code and it shows that Azadlig block was rightâ€, Co-Chair of Azadlig block, leader of National Union Movement Lale Shovkat told APA.
To her, if real candidates of opposition are brought together and boycott the elections, it will be more productive. She noted that there was no need for special initiative of the block to conduct discussions among opposition parties to boycott the elections.
â€œAzadlig block will participate in the elections, if real candidates of opposition are brought togetherâ€, she said. Asked whether elections will be boycotted actively or passively, she said that there was no condition to boycott the elections actively. If opposition parties take same stance, we can speak about active boycottâ€, she said. Shovkat added that she did not think to old protest actions around the city.
â€œIt is impossible to hold protest actions around the city. Protest actions should be addressed to relevant body. Protest actions held in Bibiyebat and Shikhov are not actions, but picnics.
