Azerbaijanâ€™s Foreign Minister receives Boyden Gray, Steven Mann and Matthew Bryza

Azerbaijanâ€™s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received U.S. Special Envoy for EU Affairs Boyden Gray, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Steven R. Mann and American co-chair of Minsk Group Matthew Bryza, Foreign Ministryâ€™s press service told APA. Azerbaijanâ€™s energy policy and cooperation with the countries of Central Asia in the field of energy, especially intensive dialogue between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan were discussed during the meeting. Head of the US delegation said his country attached great importance to the cooperation with Azerbaijan and countries of Central Asia as suppliers of energy carriers and underlined that the US companies took special interest in this cooperation.
Elmar Mammadyarov said diversification was one of the priorities of Azerbaijanâ€™s energy policy. To him Azerbaijan pays great attention to geostrategic and economic importance of energy transit route and wants it to pass through its territory.
