Baku. Elnur Mammadli-APA. “Reduction of the term of election campaign from 120 days to 75 will not create problems for the Central Election Commission. On the contrary, it will help to hold the elections quicker,” secretary of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Natig Mammadov told APA. He said that unlike the previous years the Central Election Commission would prepare a 75-day plan. The related activity of the commission depends on the appointment of the election.
“It is early to start the related activity now. The activity of the CEC will be in line with the requirements of the law,” he said.
Approving the amendment to law on pasting propaganda materials during the election campaign in the proper places, Natig Mammadov considers that the view observed in the previous presidential elections will not be observed this year.
“The photos were pasted at random and it was not right. That’s why the legislation was amended, it is banned to paste propaganda materials in other places, except the allotted places. Photos will not be pasted on the walls of the buildings and posts either. Special places will be allotted for propaganda, the candidates can place their materials equally. It is a more civil way. There will be special places in the territory of every polling station,” he said.
