YAP Deputy Chairman meets with US National Democratic Instituteâ€™s new regional director for Eurasia

Baku. Elnur Mammadli-APA. Deputy Chairman, Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov has today received the US National Democratic Instituteâ€™s (NDI) new regional Director for Eurasia Laura Jewett and Director of the Institute on Azerbaijan Ian Woodward. The Partyâ€™s Press Service told APA Ali Ahmadov said NDI and YAP had perfect relations. He said that the Party had the majority of the seats in the Parliament and spoke about the latest preparations for the 2008 presidential elections.
Laura Jewett noted the importance of joint activity with YAP and the necessity of continuing it in future. They spoke about the prospects of the joint projects implemented by YAP and NDI and exchanged views on the preparation for the elections in the regions and seminars and trainings for election observers.
